24th March 2007

After wait waited waiting for more than 3 months, the day of visiting Bali Island has came finally. 1 hour plus Sky Bus from KL Sentral to LCC Terminal and nearly 3 hour A904 flight to Ngurah Rai International Airport, we are now step on this lovely island, Bali, 7.45pm.

P1020240P1020241P1020243P1020245

While wondering on the transportation to the hotel as have forgotton to bring along the address, someone approach us with a board on hand.

"My name was written there!!"

I was so shocked and surprise with this arrangement especially in such helpless moment.

He introduces himself as Budiman who belongs to the Tourguide department of the hotel. Along with him is a couple from Malaysia, Chin and Janice. Budiman then bring us for our first dinner in Bali which according to him is something special for us, 'mie 88'.

"Ceh, wan tan mee is it! haha"

He then offer us the tour trip which cost RM60 per person per day and 4 of us agree to join after bargaining to RM48.

Check in Spahir Mabisa Inn, not bad, slightly difference if compare to the photo from Internet.

Meet another couple from KL in the lobby. Gain some recommendation and advice from them as this is their 3rd day i n Bali.

I will definately recommend Barong dance and Batur Volcano. It is better to gain some understanding on the Barong before you work around in Bali. SPA in Bali is another attraction whereby 2 hours of the package include foot massage, full body massage, full body scrupting then SPA and finally ac up of tea cost you RM90 only.

26th March 2007

This is an exciting day as we are going to rafting in the morning. Today programme:

Rafting is bit disappointed as it's not as excited as I think. It could be we are too heavy haha.

My supper
My supper

For recommendation I will pick Jimbaran and Ubud market. Having dinner in Jimbaran is kind if good feel although 1kg of squid will cost you around RM40 and 1 squid is already more than 1kg. haha.

One of the market is Ubud (there are several) which really sell thing cheap compare to others. This wil

l be the recommended place to buy the Ole-ole. Keep in mind when purchase in Bali

dont buy with people touted arounf (my pain)

bargain straight to 25% or 50% of the offered price

27th March 2007

Packing and check out early in the morning. Today programme will be bit loose as we have to rush to air port at 6pm:

Babi guling (Sucking pig) is the famous cuisine in Bali and normally been served in the upacara bikin anak (wedding ceremony). The taste is more less like 乳猪. We have been joking on this since day 1 after we get to know the Bali joke that after babi guling you have to isteri guling at night. haha.

Tanah Lot is moderate while Kuta beach is highly recommended. The water, the wave, the wind , the bikini(oops)..

P1020557P1020558P1020560P1020561

As conclusion Bali can be your choice because of its uniqueness in culture, strategic in location, affortable expenditure, friendlyness of the people and safety if no terriorist. They even produce the shirt which printed "Fucking terriorist", haha. The bad about Bali is you will be annoyed by the touts.
